Week 5: I leave in 3 DAYS FOR THE PHILIPPINES!!!

August 10, 2018

So last Friday right before P-day ended everyone in our district and the other missionaries in our zone who came the same day to the MTC, all recieved emails telling us that we would be leaving for the Philippines in 10 days! So were leaving the Provo MTC a little over 1 week early! So that means that we will be spending more time at the Manila MTC! We are all a little shocked, but we are all so excited and ready to become immersed into the culture and to meet the Filipino people! We leave the Provo MTC Monday August 13 to travel to the Philippines!
So Jenny Oaks Baker came for our Sunday devotional and it was AMAZING. She gave a talk and shared her testimony and in between everything she would perform songs for us with her family ensemble! What i learned through her sharing stories and talking about the gospel what i really like was:
The best things are unplanned.
-You don't know your path
-You know the path of Righteousness
-God knows YOUR path
Being on a mission i'm really learning to trust in God and the path that He has planned for me. like with going to the Philippines sooner than expect and panicing because i still feel like i don't know any Tagalog and that i wont be able to talk to anyone. But through this all i have accepted that God is planning my life and that if I trust Him that he will make me into the best missionary/ person that i can be and that He will bless my life FOREVER!
Another thing that I loved from the Sunday devotional was when Sister Baker said "Put your Trust & Faith in God and whatever happens everything will be okay!"
I love you all and I am so grateful for all the prayers on my behalf! Next time I email i will be in the Philippines!
Mahal Kita!

Me and my companions and our cute mission shirts

And anyone who knows me knows that i love crafts, so my first craft i did was this and it took me like 3 weeks to do it because on the mission time to do stuff other than study the gospel is very limited. and so right as i finished it, haha sister Palmer just started laughing and then it took me about a minute until i realized i spelled serve wrong! and anyone who knows me well also knows im horrible at spelling! so my companions made me take a picture of it! haha but then i fixed it dont worry!

We had to take our picture in front of the flag
