-We have been able to work with Sister Roberts, one of the senior couple missionaries. Shes so cute and it makes me feel like i have my mom in the lesson, because she just adds great incites that i feel like my mom would say and i love it!
President and Sister Craig, our new mission President and His wife just got here Sunday morning, and The Hiatts left to go home this morning! We only met them for a slight minute at church yesterday, but they seem so great and were really excited to have them in the mission. We also received a call from from President Craig last night about how they both would like to work with us. So today they will be working with us and we are really excited. This will be my first time to work with the Mission President and his wife and it'll be there first time too!
This week was a really great week, i feel so blessed in many different ways. I have an amazing companion and we get along really well, we laugh and we have fun, but we both have the same goals and desires to do in the work! We are talking to lots of people and teaching lots of new people, but the sad thing is that no one is showing up to church. So we are trying to see what we can improve on and do better to help people come to realize that this is Jesus Christ's Church and that the fullness of the Gospel has been restored!
* something that happened this week was that it was raining a lot this week and we were just walking the streets and its normal for trash to be all over the streets, and for some reason i wasn't looking too closely to the road and i just happened to kind of/almost step on a nasty/wet diaper all over the street. But i was lucky i caught my self and only kind of stepped on it. I guess you could say i experienced another "Golden Moment" haha its so gross.
* we were teaching 10 yr old Sister Paoleen who is the granddaughter of a member and we are teaching her so that she can be baptized on July 20, and this week we taught her the Atonement of Jesus Christ and oh my she had so many questions for us! We were teaching her about how we will receive a perfect body because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and how Christ bled from every pore for us, and then her being a 10 yr old starts to ask why if Christ bled for us that why do we all have different blood types. Which then lead to why do we all have different skin colors, and she was just asking so many random questions that we had a hard time answering to her satisfaction. and then the next lesson she told us after we asked if she had any questions that she doesn't want to ask us her questions because we cant or wont answer them. Haha oh boy is it an adventure teaching kids the Gospel, but you got to love their blunt answers and the crazy questions they ask.
I love you all and im so grateful for everything. I hope you all serve someone and try to find a way to be a member missionary, i testify that we will receive so many blessings from doing the Lord's work! I know that this is the true and only church upon the face of the earth, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are all Gods Children and He Loves Us!
Love Sister Thayn
- Me and Brother & Sister Baysa. We went to the mall for lunch after teaching a lesson at the church with a recent convert and the greatest thing happened! I saw two of my favorite people from my first area! I didnt believe it when i first saw them, but when i came walking towards them it was so priceless to see them realize that it was me walking to them. I just love them so much!
