Week 7:Isa linggo sa Philippine MTC!

August 20, 2018

Its been almost a week in the Philippines and oh my goodness has it been so so good! Im now beginning to experience more of the humidity and for exercise one day i was running and afterwards it was so weird because it almost felt like i was sea sick because the air i was breathing in felt so thick like i was on a ship! Also my skin is soft, which coming from Utah im used to having gross, dry, cracking skin, so having smooth skin is kinda nice, but its also sticky because your sweaty! The food is definanatley interesting at times! like last night we had a full fish, head and all, and it didn't make it better for us who dont love fish when some of the elders were playing with their fishes head! For every meal theres always rice, and one time for breakfast we had it was like chicken noodle soup and yesterdays breakfast was like chow mein kind of, with noodles and stuff. its all super good, im just not used to eating that stuff for breakfast! There is a soft serve ice cream machine in the lunch room and the other day the flavor was mango!! oh it was so good!
We went to the temple and it is so small, so small compared to Utah temples! But its so pretty!
It rained the other day and it was so fun! it was so warm and we definately took a break and played in it because we are all in the classroom all day long and we needed to do something fun!
I have learned so much about myself so far being on the mission and i have definatley learn my weaknesses and my strengths, and what i want to do better as not only a missionary but as a person for the rest of my life. One thing that has made the difference in my life is regularly studying, not just reading, the Book of Mormon and trying to apply what i learn have learned from it that day! this is something that all of you can do and i challenge you to read as much as you can each day and to see the blessings that come from you reading it!
I love you all and im so grateful for the opportunity that i have to be a missionary spreading the word of the gospel, it brings me so much joy in my life and i want to bring that joy to others, and im my case the Filipino People! i love you all and i hope you all can find ways to serve those around you so that they can feel not only your love, but Gods love for them!
Have a amazing week!

We found a cool setting on my camera where when you smile it will automatically take the picture, so this was my picture!

We had to get a selfie with angel Moroni!
