Week 30: The ILAGAN Area update

February 4,  2019

*So we got the news that the Simon sisters can be baptized with the Pua family, and they were so happy to get the news about that! They have so many questions and they really want to make sure that they are ready for their baptism! But it wont be easy for them because the nieces have a coffee problem and the the dad is still trying to quit smoking, and the mom is still trying to find out how to get off work to come to church on Sunday! Satan is working hard on them, but we are working harder to help this family prepare for baptism!
*Sister Mary Ann had a miracle at work and was able to get off work on Sunday for a couple of months so she can come to church and so we hope to help her continue to work towards her baptism date and to continue to act in faith!
*So we met Brother Jerick on a tricy ride during the time i was on crutches and we had to tricy basically everywhere. He is a tricy driver, 23 years old and found out that is aunt is a member in our ward. So we've been about to teach him with is aunt and different members in the ward. He's so great he just keeps telling us how he loves what we share with him and how he thinks this is the way for him to start over in life and become better. Hes been reading the Book of Mormon, and after a lesson with him about the BOM we invited him to be baptized and he accepted!

So we went on splits with a sister training leader this week and we worked with some members from their ward in their area. and guess what! one of the members that worked with us was the Sister that served in Quezon City North Mission (is now an RM) and I actually was companions with her as we did a proselyting activity there while i was in the Manila MTC. Such a small world, and crazy to see where ive come from since ive been on my mission for almost 7 months now!

Not too many adventurous things happened this week because it's all just become normal to me now. But i do have a weird bug bite on my leg and the water in our house coming out of our faucets is brown, but its seems to be the problem with the whole area.
Love you all, thank you for all the prayers and have a great week!
Love Sister Thayn

-Lunch with Mamang (Sister Baysa), she loves to feed us SO MUCH FOOD!
