Week 34: Craving the Gospel

March 4, 2019

This week me and Sister Gibson have had some of the most special, spiritual lessons of our missions! So we're teaching Sister Camille (she's 19 yrs old) and wow is shes such an Elect person, she just eats up everything that we are teaching her, and half of the time shes teaches us things through studying the pamphlets we've given her or her BOM ready. She told us this week that she just CRAVES the gospel, that the gospel has fill a hole in her life, because she now knows who she is and why shes here on earth, and so much more! We taught her about Joseph Smith and the Restoration this week and we showed her the Restoration movie and afterwards she said that she just felt so bad for Joseph Smith and how he had to go through so much hardship to just be able to worship God and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We also have started to teach her about the Plan of Salvation and when she was showing us her pamphlet she had so many notes and markings and she basically taught us about of the Plan of Salvation. Haha but during her lesson i opened my mouth to start talking and all of a sudden a bug flew straight into the back of my throat and started to make me choke! Haha and we were fasting for fast Sunday and so we joked that i broke my fast because i ate a bug. We just love Sister Camille and have gotten so close to her and i actually asked her if she wanted to serve a mission and she said shes had the desire to serve a mission since we started teaching her!
We also got a devoted catholic to come to church on Sunday, and her neighbor is Bishop and a bunch of other members and when this lady came to church everyone kept asking us what we did because this lady is a devoted catholic and hates missionaries. which is weird because her and her boyfriend are super nice to us when we teach them!
I let Sister Bitancor, a Filipino Sister, in our house use my tennis shoes to go running with us, but her feet are like half my size and so we stuffed newspaper inside the toes. and then i used some of Sister  Gibson's proselyting shoes that would stay on my feet as i ran. so yes i went running in the Philippines in flats!
love you all  have a great week!
Sister Thayn
