Week 39: They say it's only supposed to get HOTTER!!!

I know I've told you all before that it's really hot here, and i sweat a lot and get bad sweat marks and such. But this week hit a record for me with the amount that I have sweated! This week the people said it was about 40 degrees Celsius, so about 104 degrees in Fahrenheit for a couple of the days last week! and then with the humidity on top of that! Lets just say im happy to be alive and haven't melted yet! If i were to describe the heat (and the humidity on top of that) to you, i would tell you that you just have to accept that you are drenched in sweat all day long, and ice cold bucket showers still don't cool you down, I will also take a bucket shower about 3 times a day (if im lucky) and, the fans are just blowing hot air back at you! The heat is pretty bad, at least for me, because i sweat buckets. But i have gained a testimony this week that when things are hard to not forget that God is only one prayer away and He wants to listen to all our problems, how big or small. And so i did that this week. When the heat was particularly really hard for me and experiencing some stresses that come with being a missionary and a trainer, and after that prayer and drinking some ice cold water, we went to work and I truly believe God gave me the strength I needed to do His work that day!

Alma 26:12 " 12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."

This week I have had to do things that i haven't really had to do before. We taught a couple the law of Chasity this week and after teaching them about how they can be together for eternity and all these blessings and then testifying to them about the blessings that God wants to give us if we follow His commandments, they still weren't willing to make the changes to their life's and we had to tell them that we have to stop teaching them because we are here to help others to come unto Christ through Baptism and as of then they weren't making those changes to be able to be ready to make that sacred covenant with God. It was hard to stop teaching them, but we had the faith to stop teaching them and later that night we found a young man that is so willing to change his life and to come close to His Savior and Father in Heaven and so we cant wait to see his progression in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

We tried wearing slacks while proselyting and wow was it a foreign experience to leave our house and go out in public in pants! and yes we didn't purposely match, but as we were walking around we got a lot of people staring at us. and in a way we kind of look like Elders! But i still dont know if ill try it again, its just so hot and it more comfortable wearing a skirt.
