Week 40: It's a Good Time to be Alive!

So finally getting to watch General Conference this week was so AMAZING i learned lots about how i can be a better Disciple of Jesus Christ and how it is my own personal responsibility to make sure i know the Gospel of Jesus Christ so i can live the things hes taught! We need to make sure we are doing the simple things like our: daily prayers, scripture study and Come Follow Me. President Nelson is receiving some pretty great revelation from God to specifically guide us in our time here on earth. And if we remember we are the Latter-Day Saints, we are the people to witness the Second Coming of Jesus Christ on the earth again. How cool is it to think that God saved each of us for this time because he knew we could live a Christ centered life even through all the wickedness of the world! But that doesn't mean that life is going to be easy. Life is really hard sometimes (maybe a lot of the time), but you know what since being on a mission I've realized that the hardest things I've experienced have taught me the most. I've learned to rely on my Father in Heaven more, I've realized how important my family is to me, and I've realized how much i need my Savior in my life if i'm going to be able to make it back to live with God again! So i invite all of you to look at your life and realized how you can apply these revelations that our living prophet is receiving for us. How can you be more Christ-like, how can you use the Atonement more, how can you become a better brother or sister, daughter or son, father or wife. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is to help us be what God wants us to be, so learn more about it! Read the Book of Mormon, read Preach my Gospel, read conference talks, and i know if you will apply the things that you have learned that life will feel better, you'll be happier (even though life may be really hard right now). I know theses things because I've tried it and i testify that God wants us to live a good, happy life her on earth!

It rained after conference on Saturday and Sunday and we had lots of thunder and lightning and last night the thunder was so loud that i remember waking up during the middle of the night and telling sister Pututau (i dont even think she was awake) that i think the Second Coming is coming! Haha it was so surreal, but it just made me realized if Christ were to come today would i be ready?
