Evelyn is officially a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! It was so special to be there as she entered into a sacred covenant with God. After coming out of the baptismal fount she said told us that the water felt so good because it was cold. But she was so happy and it was a special day! Danny even was crying at the end of the baptism while Evelyn was bearing her testimony! I will forever cherish the moments and memories that i have with them!
I rained a lot this week and we got caught in the rain storms while teaching and it was either sit there in the dark (because the power went out too) or try talking really loud (basically yelling) so that the people could hear us over the noise the rain was making on the metal roofs! And we got wet, but at least the people couldn't tell if it was my sweat or if it was just water from the rain on my face! haha.
This week i really felt a lot of love from the people here. The people here have blessed my life in so many ways and i think this week it was just confirmed to me again, like many times before in my life before the mission and on the mission that there are people who love me and that God has put specific people in my life to help me to progress on this earth! I just have to say that we all have a place here on earth and we all make a difference in the life of those around us, whether you know it or not.
Love you all and hope that you all have a fabulous week. Please continue to enjoy the cold for me. It "snowed" this morning for me when my companion defrosted our freezer and threw all the ice from it out the door as i was doing laundry outside! but then it melted in like 2 minutes. Anyway don't forget to serve someone today! Oh and if any of you have any creative ways to talk to people about the gospel i am open to ideas because this heat is doing something to me and i cant think of any creative/fun ideas, and im realizing i need to have more fun within our work. So any ideas are appreciated! thanks!
