BACK TOGETHER AGAIN
This last week was my last transfers on my mission it is so crazy how time flies!
I got a new companion, Sister Gibson (again!) haha so crazy, we were companions together in our second areas in Alicia and now we are together again in Tuguegarao! She will be my last companion in the mission. Its so funny because when you meet a new companion there is always that first little bit where you are trying to get to know each other, and with this companionship it feels like we never left each other, except for the part that now we are both about to go home and we are better at missionary work and can actually speak the language!
It was hard to say goodbye to Sister Brode! But at least she just lives the town over, Lehi Utah.
This week:
-We were walking home one night and the side of the road is not paved and is just a muddy rocky mess and so I tend to look at the ground to make sure im not going to step wrong and roll my ankle, but haha this time around i wasn't paying attention to the stuff above my head and so all of a sudden I was walking and BAM i hit the sign on the side of the road that probably was just at the height of my forehead. And what makes it better is that there was a motorcyclist that watched the whole thing, and haha i hit the sign hard :)
-Me and Sister Gibson were out working one day and we were walking down a road and we started to talk to this lady in front of her house and it seemed as if she knew us from before and just kind of expected us to come inside her house, so we did. And it was probably like 5 minutes of sitting with her that Sister Gibson told me we need to make this quick. I didn't understand why, but we just quickly shared a Book of Mormon verse and then as the lady left for a minute to get a treat for us it was then that Sister Gibson told me that this lady was totally drunk! Haha you would be surprised how many times this has happened, i guess my excuse is that I grew up in Utah and im not used to the smell or what a drunk person looks like. But I kind of started to notice this lady was a little too happy and silly. Haha well i guess that's another skill I need to work on before I come home.
-Well we were out trying to find a person that Sister Brode had taught with another sister on splits about a week ago and all she told me was that she lived down a road. So we went down this road and I had no idea what her name was or where her house was, which this isn't too unusual and makes it interesting as a missionary because you have to get creative with how you talk to random people. So i remembered just a random name she's had told me before of someone they had taught and that was "Bessy" so I asked this random guy if he knew someone with that name. And all of a sudden he just goes to the neighboring house and asked is this person is home. Haha we were super surprised that it worked. So the lady came out of the house and we found out that actually her last name was "Bassig", but it was close enough and she was taught before by missionaries! Crazy how God works!
-Yesterday at church was the Primary program and that is probably my favorite Sunday each year! The kids were so cute, and the whole program was in english!
-So yesterday at church I had some letters from Sister Brode to give to some members and so i go up to this one member, she's probably 50 years old, and all of a sudden after I give her the letter and tell her who it is from, I started to realize that this member is explaining who she is and where she lives and that I should have met her on Thursday last week at our dinner appointment at her house, but she wasn't there. Haha so i guess the way i did my hair and the dress that I was wearing made me look completely different, because the next minute I had to convince her that i knew her and that I have already been in this ward for a month and a half. and then Bishops wife that was sitting next to her was having to convince her too that she knows me. Haha she totally thought I was the new sister missionary in the ward!
Well every week is different and never boring. I love the Gospel and my Savior Jesus Christ. I know this church is true and that it is God's work! Love you all and have a fantastic week!

*Here is a picture of one of the many chickens that people keep outside their houses with ropes tied around their ankles, and they are all basically just for food, so that look really interesting some times.
*The Apostol Family, every Sunday we have dinner at their house. They also have a son serving a mission too right now.
