-Elder and Sister Allen, The cutest senior couple ever, we are basically their granddaughter. We went to the mission home to do a little service project with all the senior sister missionaries gluing and putting back together the destroyed hymn books, in preparation for District Conference. Then after we took Elder and Sister Allen teaching with us (they drove us around in their Air Conditioned Car) and then afterwards it was lunch time and Sister Allen made Elder Allen take us out for lunch, so we went to the McDonald's Drive thru. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=152qf-HCH9bmoUIeT_9kSX1IGbZK1K_5x

-This is Sister Jenny and she LOVES the Book of Mormon. We met her on my very first day here in Cauayan. We were walking down the street and i stopped to talk with her, and she had just picked up her daughter from school and so before we departed ways we got her address. So the next day we went and taught her and she was very receptive and was just eating up everything we had to share with her. It was hard to catch her at her house because she doesn't have a phone and sometimes she wouldn't be there the time she said she would, so we kind of lost her for a month or so. But then we went one time to teach her and she was there and then the next time we came on a Sunday with 3 Sisters from the ward to minister to her and she committed come to church. So here we are this week and lots happened with Sister Jenny's progression in the gospel! We invited her to actually pray and ask God if Joseph Smith is a true prophet and if the BOM is true and she told us the next day that she did. Then that night she prayed and asked God and then she said she had a dream about it and when she woke up she told her husband that she just needs to read the BOM to know if Joseph Smith is a prophet! Then she told us a funny story about how she was baptized in a "Born Again" church when she was like 9, because we were talking about how in Ephesians 4:5 in the Bible it says there's only "one baptism". She said that the way they baptize is that take you to a river and dunk just your head in the water and when they lift your head up they ask "Did you see God?" and Sister Jenny was so confused because she never saw God and this went on for about 10 dunks and then her eyes hurt too much that she just told them that she saw God so that she could make it stop. It is so interesting how there are so many different types of baptism because of apostasy and how different the world has changed the ways of God. BUT Sister Jenny came to church yesterday and she brought her BOM and she was just so excited to come that she showed up an hour early! Shes committed to be baptized on August 31, 2019! THE CHURCH IS TRUE!https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1k1DVDlg5qhv4t4MiGSQnUlFSpnIX-eG6
-I ate Kalamares, which is fried squid. I had ate it before at a members house in my last area and it was really yummy and fresh, but then i tried it here in the streets and in my cup that i bought i happened to get a full baby squid! it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't fresh. But i have learned to eat ANYTHING, and i surprised some members when they saw that I bought some that night.

-Me and Sister Allen (the sister that i went to High School with, we actually had chemistry together in 11th grade) were companions for the day and that night the Allen's picked us up after an appointment so that we could show them this super yummy German Pancake food truck in our area! So there we go i never thought my 2 years i took of German in high school would ever come in handy here in the Philippines because the owner of the food truck is from Germany and married a Filipino. But to my luck he spoke English (but not Tagalog).

Deciding to come on a mission is one of the best decisions that ive made in my life. I love it, yes its one of the hardest things i have done, but its one of the most rewarding thing ive done. To see people progress towards baptism and using their agency to choose to follow our Savior Jesus Christ so that they can return back to our Father in Heaven is one of the Happiest things to witness! I love my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ chose to pay for our sins through the Atonement, because he knew that it was up to Him for all of us to be able to make it to God's Kingdom! My testimony grew strong about the BOM and in my studies i read 2 Nephi 4:17-35 and Mosiah 14&15 and i grew to more of an understanding of why im here on earth and how much God loves us! I love you all and im continually grateful for your prayers and love! Have an AMAZING WEEK, because you know what?! YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD!
