Week 43: The Church is True!

This week was pretty good,

On Thursday went we got to Danny and Evelyn's house Brother Danny could not wait to show us his recent purchase! On Wednesday he went and bought a white shirt and black slacks so that he could be in his Sunday best for church! And oh my goodness when i saw that i was about to cry because i don't know how they were able to afford it because it is a hard time for them right now because he can't work, but he saved the money and found the way. Haha and he told us yesterday at church that when he came out of his house in his church clothes that all the kids around were calling him Pastor. Brother Danny is such a special person to me and this week as we were teaching Sister Evelyn about tithing it reminded Brother Danny who was just baptized like 2 months ago that he needs to pay tithing. Which he cant work right now because he was in an accident a year ago and had surgery on his leg and hasn't been about to walk for the past couple of months. But yesterday he was so eager to pay his tithing and it was just a reminder to me that we keep God's commandments because we love God and that is how we can show our love to him is through keeping and being obedient to his commandments!

Sister Evelyn after fast and testimony meeting was telling me that on their way to church this morning that they talked with a relative that she hasn't talked to in 5 years because something happened between them, but now they are now in good terms, and that this morning they were able to forgive each other. And as she was telling me this she was crying and i was crying and she says its all because of the gospel in her life and coming to church and making the changes shes making in her life and at the end she told us "The church is true"! WOW did i feel the spirit so strong as she told us that and i am just so happy to be able to experience the process of their conversion and seeing them come closer to our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ!

*Today at church i had to chase a stray dog out of the church like 3 times and i never thought i would ever say that ive had to do that!

*I made some chocolate chip cookies this week (out of a box) and as i started to stir it, it turned into chocolate cookies because the chocolate chips were melting into the batter! It still tasted good and that really is all that matters! haha

*The month of May is when it starts to rain here and so the last couple of nights we have fallen asleep to thunder storms and it is so nice! The only problem is that its still really hot and now the rain makes it even more humid and so now im so sticky all the time because of my sweat!

I love you all so much and i know this church is true and that if we keep the commandments that we will feel Gods love greater in our life! Love you all and have a great week!
