Week 44: HUMIDITY is a real thing, frogs taste good, and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Well its rained everyday this week and they are like rain storms i have never experienced before! It starts out with loud thunder and lightning and then like 10 minutes later its a complete down pour! A couple times we have gotten caught in the storm and we end up getting drenched, even with an umbrella. But at night it makes it cool off just a little bit, but now its SO HUMID!! Like as we are walking and its still really hot, now all the rain puddles are just making me sweat even more than i was before! Like im just drenched head to toe in sweat and then it makes me sticky, But you know what so is everyone else here!

This week one time after teaching Danny and Evelyn i looked down at my bag and remembered that i had this pin of the SLC temple that Kiera had given to me while i was in the MTC she old me to give it to someone, and i hadn't found someone, and then i forgot about it and then i decided to put it onto my bag and that way when i found the perfect person that i could give it to them. So I decided this week to give it to Brother Danny. I told him to get his neck tie and then i pinned it on it and then he told me that last Sunday he thought to himself that he hoped that someone would give him a tie pin so that his Sunday best could be complete. So he was telling us that he knows that God really listens to our prayers and wants us to have what we want in life.

We went to go and get pizza at this cute little pizza shop this last week for dinner and the owner is this guy from Britain that married a Filipino and they decided to open up this pizza shop. Well we talked to this guy in English because he still doesn't know Tagalog, and it was so weird to be sharing the gospel and getting to know someone in the Philippines in English, i was freaking out the whole time because i didn't know what to say in English. But it was a cool experience and yes the pizza was delicious!
So i ate FROG this week and it actually wasn't that bad, it was just weird for my mind to comprehend what i was eating because i just see frogs as the gross things that hop around everywhere, now more than ever because of the rain!

So we spoke in sacrament meeting yesterday and its a good thing that we know that every 2nd week of the month is the missionaries turn to speak in sacrament, because no one told us that we would be speaking until 10 minutes before the meeting was to start. So they were probably thinking that wow we are good and picking a topic and having a talk ready in 10 minutes because they didn't tell us until right before that we were to be speaking. My topic that i chose was "Finding Joy in the Journey" and what im continuing to learn is that in the end true/or eternal happiness and joy comes from our obedience to Gods commandments and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Happy Mothers day to all the moms out there! I love my mom so much and im so grateful for everything shes taught me, i know i would not be where i am right now if it were not for here! Im also grateful for all those other women in my life that have helped me to get to where i am in my life. All my aunts, YW leaders and neighbors! I love you all and hope you all have a great week!
