This Saturday is Evelyns baptism and we are so excited for her! We have been there through her whole time of before when she disliked when the Mormon missionaries would come over and disturb her nights as they taught her husband. To now when she sees us coming she smiles so big and yells at us to get inside so we can start our lesson. And now she will become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints this week! To see the changes in Danny and Evelyns lifes since they have started to live the gospel has been such a blessing to be able to witness. Their testimonies have made my testimony so much stronger. They know that God lives and He loves them.
I dont have a ton of time, but i just wanted to let you all know that i know that God gives us trials that we can do, he knows our strengths and our weaknesses and if we put our trust in Him he will make our life so much better than we could ever imagine. Count your blessings, you have a roof over your head, food to eat, a family that loves you, shoes and clothing, a warm shower, whatever it might be. Its been opening my eyes so much on how a lot of people around the world are in situations i never thought existed until i have witnessed it. We are teaching a mother of 3 kids under the age of 4 who were all are sick this week and they have no medicine, her husband is off drinking with his buddies and cant find a job, shes left at home which is about the size of a shed with 2 bamboo walls and no door, and sometimes she doesn't know how she are going to feed her children or keep them sheltered from the rain storms. But you know what, I know that God loves her the same amount that He loves me. Just for some reason we are all put in different situations and we all go through different trials and struggles in life. But i do know and i have witnessed that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is truly for every individual and every family! I testify that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. We are guided by a living prophet, Russell M. Nelson, and we will receive blessings according to our obedience to Gods commandments.
I love you all and hope you count your blessings every day and realize the important things in life! Have a great week!
