Week 50: Here I come CAUAYAN CITY

June 24, 2019

Hello everyone!
Well i got transferred and im now serving in Cauayan City. We are about a 5 minute tricy ride away from the mission home and the Mission President and his wife and Elder and Sister Roberts (senior couple missionary) are in our ward! We already had a baptism this last Saturday, his name is Dominic and he has such a sweet testimony. He has seen the differences that the gospel has made in his life and he knows that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ.
On Wednesday I traveled from Alicia to Cauayan by a big bus (kind of like a tour bus), and i met my new companion there, Sister Ela. We then took a tricy to our house and haha on the way there we went over a speed bump and all of a sudden my suit case that was on top of the tricy fell off and rolled down the front of the tricy! It scared us all, but the road was kind of busy and so the tricy driver tried to fit my big suitcase in with us and we had to hold on to it until we got to the house. nothing broke, good thing it was my suit case with all my clothes.
So far we have met some really great people in this area by just opening our mouths. We can see God preparing these people for us in this area and we're excited to see their progression in the gospel!
But it was so hard to leave the people in my last area, they will be in my heart forever! Evelyn was in denial that i was leaving and she just kept hugging me and didn't want me to leave. Her and Danny have changed my life for the better and i will never forget them. They told me though that its okay that i will be leaving because i will be able to find people like them and help them the same way i have been able to help them! Sister Camille and i have become such great friends and im so grateful that in our day we are able to stay in touch through technology! Sister Camille has such a strong testimony, and she hopes to be able to serve a mission, and i am so grateful to be able to see the start of her journey as a member of Jesus Christ's Church!
This week was a good week and i cant wait to see more people choosing to come closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as they make and keep commitments to stay on the covenant path! I love you all and im so grateful for the prayers and love sent my way! i hope you all have an amazing week and find ways to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those around you!
