UPDATE
Sister Jenny is doing awesome as a new member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! She has already worked like 2 days with us teaching those people that we have in our area. She gave us a referral, who is the mom of a classmate of her daughter, and so on Wednesday we went and taught her and this woman is so ready to have the gospel in her life, she has so many trials and already with teaching her 2 times we can see her develop more hope in her life and her trials. She came to church on her own yesterday and that is such a rare thing to happen because people are so shy here to come to things on their own, but after church we found her and after RS class she just had a completely different countenance about her! I love what the gospel does to people!
We taught a members mom who is blind and her first language is a different dialect here, but she can speak and understand Tagalog pretty good, except sometimes her daughter had to translate for her sometimes what we were saying.
We taught a members nephew who is staying here for school and coming to church with them, and we taught about how the Gospel blesses individuals and families and it was so sweet how this 19 year old boy was so worried about his family and about how will they know the way back to our Father in Heaven. And we told him that he can't choose if his family will accept the gospel or not, but that he can be the example for his family and help so them the way. We have such a good feeling about him and hope that he will continue to just accept and live the gospel. He also accepted an invitation to be baptized!
TENDER BLESSINGS THIS WEEK:
-We had so many dinner appointments this week
-A member who owns a BBQ grill gave us free lunch that included baby back ribs
-We got strawberry flavored shakes
-We had a meeting this week, which meant we sat in AIR CON for about half the day and got fed lunch
-We woke up to rain this morning
-We have bug spray for all the bugs in our house
-I have medicine for the sickness I got this week
-There is AIR CON as i am writing this letter to all of you
Life is so great as a missionary, it is never boring, there is always new people you are meeting and there is always something you are doing every hour of the day! I have a testimony that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live and that through living the gospel we can more fully feel of their love! I love my Savior and all that he has done for me. I love you all and hope this week is amazing. Also anyone that sees my mom this week wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her and give her a hug from me!
